When you first meet me, don't insult me.

Don't assume I am prejudice like you.

Don't say to me:

There were a lot of blacks there, but they were nice blacks.

Don't say to me:

My boss is Jewish, ya know, he's cheap.

Don't say to me :

I couldn't understand her on the phone, she was black.

Don't say to me :

He's Italian, he must be connected.

Don't say to me:

He's a dot head or point out his turban, because he embraces his heritage, even though people point and stare and criticize him every day in this country and it would be easier for HIM if he blended in..he still holds his head up high and was told 'to come to this country means to practice his beliefs without prejudice.'

or he's gay, because some of my friends are and have been made fun of most of their lives

or he's spic, because my son is

or he is fat, because my brother struggles with it

I DON'T LIKE IT

Even though I sometimes think it too..

just for a second,

or a brief moment,

I am not proud of thinking the way you do.

All of the above insult ME....

don't assume I am ignorant and

don't assume I am like you .

Don't assume I am prejudice.
