"THE SUNDAY BLOGGER ENQUIRER"

Issue # 7
This Sunday's Blogger Enquirer will feature two of the best writers on Blogstream !
We have Coloconnect interviewing Daisy.
Colo of Second Chances:
Daisy of Along The Spiral Path:
I know you are a woman that loves atmosphere. I love the “feel” of the Spiral Path. If we were having this conversation anywhere in the world, where would you like to have it?
Probably a nice outdoor cafe, someplace where the weather is pleasant today.
Maybe, we would be some place with a cool breeze. So we just waved a magic wand and we are in a nice little outdoor bistro. It works for me!
Nice large plants and flowers here!
A simple menu; grapes and Monterey jack cheese and warm bread, maybe some ice cold mineral water. Two friends getting together on a Sunday afternoon...I'm there!
Sounds perfect!
Now that you're comfortable, I'm bringing out the big guns...... drum roll please…..
Can you name four of the happiest most electric moments of your life?
Moments in time that affirmed your life. If we “part the curtains” I am looking for the highs. Times that when relived still bring a surge. I am looking for joy!
The first thing that comes to mind is my daughter's first day of school, in her new outfit & new shoes... I took pictures and made a big deal out of so she loved it.
Another time was when I met my second husband and fell in love - you know, falling in love has that effect.
Have you fallen in love a lot?
Infatuation, yes, in love, no.
In love once?
More than once.
The city here has an annual art festival weekend, with a lot of outdoor activities and displays in the lobbies of downtown buildings...
I won first prize - a hundred dollars - in my category. That was fun!
What was your category?
Experimental video. It was poetic prose voiced over images.
You are a very visual person.
I love the atmosphere and imagery on your blog!
Thank you.
The other day would be when I saw a grizzly bear in the wild.
I didn't get out of the vehicle. There were others stopped along the side of the road too. The bear was simply ambling along at the edge of the woods, ripping apart tree stumps...
Was it the getting so close part or the rampage part that you made it so memorable?
I had never seen a grizzly in the wild before. This bear wasn't on TV, or in a zoo, it was free to roam where it felt like.
It was in Canada, near Glacier National Park.
There is something to be said about catching animals in their natural habitat. And that's what I am hoping to do with you and this interview. I want to capture Daisy's essence in the little cafe. Pretend for a moment, that you can morph into any year that you have lived. What year would that be and why?
Oh my.
Okay, the same year I saw the grizzly. My husband and I took a motor home on a month long vacation from Michigan into Canada and West all the way to Victoria Island, then into Washington State, Olympic National Park, then East through Montana and Wyoming, and across South Dakota and Wisconsin and back home.
It was kind of a whirlwind tour of every place we wanted to go. We did go back to some.
It sounds amazing! So you like to travel? What year was that?
Well, if the conditions are right. There are some places, like China and India, that I would rather see on TV.
Hmm, let me think... 1987.
What CD's are on your player right now? What music do you like? I know about your guest appearance on Cowbell and the article on Joni Mitchell.
Editor Lucy Note:
You can view Colo's article on Tayna Tucker - Thurs July 20th
and Daisy's article on Joni Mitchell - Wed July 19th
Well right now I have a CD player that holds only one at a time. And right now it's Van Morrison "Moondance."
I have eclectic taste. I listen to everything between "Bach's Greatest Hits" and Bush and The Rolling Stones.
Now I’m going to put you on the spot. Which five bloggers would you like to meet from the stream?
I am going to borrow a page from your interview and not name the bloggers I've known since the beginning, because everyone already knows I want to meet them and there are more than five. So I'll pick five of the new talent on the stream, who I think are excellent writers.
Quixote of "Hot Flashes" is very funny with her self-deprecating humor, so I would want to meet her just to find out she's not that old and not that bad.
Heide of “Heidenhamer” is another writer that has a lot of variety and her blog is a really interesting read.
Bob Holt of "Unskilled and Mediocre" is a very good writer, and has a great, sardonic sense of humor.
Miss T of "Is Everyone Crazy" is writing interesting stuff and is quite creative in her art work, too.
And, well, I know he's not new, but I have to say Whit of “Whit’s Whittlins”. He's very intelligent and interesting, plus I would be able to report back to you and Prisoner of Hope about what he's REALLY like.
Prisoner of Hope
(one of my best buddies)
Great choices. There is some great writing going on. It is nice when it's recognized. Of course Whit is still our mystery man, in residence, so we could get that one solved too.
Exactly.
Now I want to ask something personal... I want to know what is your greatest liability or the thing you feel holds you back. Have you ever thought about it?
Well, aside from my having eight arms, which tends to put people off even though they come in very handy for multi-tasking...
So, as we talk you are typing, cooking and hugging yourself. Cute Daisy.
Okay. Yes, I've thought about it. It's low self-esteem and a lack of self-confidence. Some things a lot of people have problems with.
I feel like we are friends and I believe you are an honest and thoughtful person. I also think you are very creative and funny. What do you think of as your greatest asset?
I genuinely love people. People are fascinating, how they think, what they do, their feelings... they're wonderful and horrible and amazing!!
Horrible?
Are you thinking of anything in particular?
I love the Light and dark in you and my new nickname for you is going to be "Shady Daisy".
Yes, I do feel like I've grown a lot since I started blogging. It's not just the writing, but reading other people's blogs and the interactions in the comments sections, and how we influence and inspire each other, has enriched my life.
I have had a great time with this interview. I learned more about you. For instance I didn't know about the eight arms !
Love you Daisy. Thanks for doing this.
You're welcome Colo. I love you too.
Peace Out....

MOONDANCE
VAN MORRISON
An Irishman
Well, it's a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Can I just have one a' more Moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love
Well, I wanna make love to you tonight
I can't wait 'til the morning has come
And I know that the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me that you can't hide
One more Moondance with you in the moonlight
On a magic night
La, la, la, la in the moonlight
On a magic night
