INTERVIEWS
ROSIE of There's Always Hope

So, it took a little while getting all the way to Australia on foot,
but I finally arrived to meet and interview my friend Rosie of
“There’s Always Hope.”
The land part wasn’t too much trouble.
It was the ocean that took all the time.

How did you manage that?

Oh well, I had to go down to the bottom, take a step,
come up for air,
down to the bottom again, take another step,
come up for air…

Well, why didn’t you hitch a ride on a passing whale?

Oh – I scared the whales.
They saw me coming and headed in the other direction.
Yes, that’s a whale of a story.

I say quit now while you’re ahead.

Ha-ha!
So Rosie – music first.
Inquiring Blogstreamers want to know –
What 5 CD’s have you got in your CD player right now?

I can tell you what I might have in the stacker in the car?
Umm, I have the Disney movie CD’s.
*giggles* truly a child at heart ! What can I say?
Then there’s a CD that the kids compiled so we could drive for hours and listen to user friendly music that we all liked.
It seems to go forever and though they put it together years ago,
I still like to play it now.
My husband, Woolly likes Elvis so if anyone really wants to know -
Elvis is alive and well in our stacker.
Jabula – it’s music with a south African tribal type feel
(my very fave).
There are a few other randomly put together CD’s that have
this and that on them.
I’m not the kind of person who likes to listen to just one band or artist the whole CD through.
So generally we make up our own.

Well those are all good choices.
I’d like to check out Jabula. I like rhythm.
And yes, I like to make compilations too.
A bit of this, a bit of that…

Oh John – that’s a secret ok?
Don’t tell anyone…
*grins*

Ha-ha !
Mum’s the word.
It’s just you and me here – and everybody reading this.
But nevermind them.
We’re all friends anyway.
And, speaking of which,
what 5 bloggers would you want to meet, and why?

I’d love to spend a week just relaxing and laughing
with the whole crew that meet in the chat room.
I know there are dramas and it’s not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’
or ‘bottle of bourbon’ or ‘keg of beer’ – what ever!
But since I’ve been able to be there I’ve found some lovely friends.
So that’s, well, way heaps and heaps of people!

Heaps of people !
Ha-ha!

Let the party begin…
But I do agree with you John.
It would wreck the fun of not knowing who each of us really is.

That’s right – we’ve all got different names in the chat room.
A person could decide to be mysterious if he wanted to be.

*hands on hips*
So - who are you in the chat room then?

Ha-ha !
I haven’t explored the chat room yet.
Now that I know I’ll see you there I’ll have to start.

In a way we really meet here already.
Don’t you think?

Oh yes !
And I’ve had conversations with people over comment replies
and PM’s that happen almost as fast as chatting –
back and forth, back and forth.
It’s wonderful meeting so many new people.

So, so nice!

So, here’s a very social kind of question.
What’s your favourite alcoholic beverage?

I’m a juice girl and I think my fave is pineapple.
When it comes to alcohol I used to drink with friends -
not a beer girl I’m afraid - but I do like spirits.
Pour it in a glass and add nothing else.
It tastes bad but if I’m going to get all-dy gone-dy’s,
then bottoms up and keep them coming.

Rosie – what does ‘all-dy gone-dy’s mean ?

Kind of all gone – wiped out – drunk.

Oh, you’re a gal after my own heart !
That’s what I did – back when I drank.
But I loved the flavor of spirits.
Straight up!

Yep I’m like that with most things – straight up !
Scratch from “Echos of the Tomb” gave up
a couple of Christmas’ ago so I did too.
Now I’m a juice, tea or coffee girl.

You gave up drinking, did you ?
My word – there’s a lot of that going ‘round.
Can I ask you why? – or does it matter?
Or…

Well just because I could I guess.
I never really gave up - I just don’t do it any more.
Like that makes any sense …
Umm, I do drink but not alcohol I mean …
I didn’t drink that much anyway …

Ha-ha ! That’s all good.
It makes sense to me.
I’m a huge coffee lover myself.
Since Australia’s a nation of immigrants, like the USA,
do you have a heritage or nationality other than that ?
For instance, my Mom’s of Irish descent and Dad German…
