Sharingcher and I became quick friends here on Blogstream.  She was one of those bloggers I clicked with immediately.  Others it took a while to get to know and trust but not Cher, it was instantanious. 

Early on she mentioned quite a few times a favorite movie of hers called "HAROLD and MAUDE"... I kept my eyes open for a long time for it to air on tv.  Finally about 4 months ago it did on the Turner Classic Movies station and I LOVED IT ! 

I remember posting about it and I could just feel Cher jumping up and down with excitement that I finally got to see it and loved it just as much as she did.  I also remember Biggie T or Marc commenting on how much they loved it as well. 

So in honor of my friend Cher and her love for "HAROLD and MAUDE" and eternal youth and appreciation of her and Mokie Joe's beloved Dad who passed away, I share with you a reminder I received from TCM:

I miss blogging but I remember why I hate it...

Last night I had this 'grand' idea to commit to blogging everyday by referring to my FAVORITE BLOGGERS LIST...five at a time.

I wrote a poem and everything (you know how hard that is for me) and committed to writing about five bloggers on my list, in order each day. 

Just look at my first five, it really wasn't hard to do except for keeping it to a paragraph each.

Beautiful, heartfelt words spilled through my fingers onto keyboard into blog.  Then I did something I never do, I hit spellcheck instead of submit and POOF !....bye bye post...

It is 26 lbs lost and tons of libido gained, Angel is happy...ooh la la

Dad - in a rehab temporarily and then where, I don't know

Mom - bedridden with mystery illness for two weeks

Sister - we are getting closer because of Dad's situation

Brother - * rolls eyes * - that is the first time I ever used  **

Oldest daughter - She broke up with boyfriend of 4 years - I am trying to hook her up with one of two young doctors I am in contact with every day...she is going into her second year of college

Yongest daughter - She has mono, very sick but goes out every night and demands to go back to school yesterday (who's child is this?) - I cleaned out her locker in school and discovered an artist. 

 Baby Boy - Lovey Boy -  What can I say, I still kiss his face everyday, contantly...

Cuban Husband - My Angel - Still hot as ever - nice ass, I constantly want to make out with him .

 

Angel and I went to an oldies car show today and we both noticed a guy who we thought we saw on America's Most Wanted - so we called the police. lol

(Did you see the episode with the Mexican brothers who are wanted for murder from Cali ?  The do the LOW RIDERS cars but as my husband corrected me as I was on the phone with the police as I referred to the cars as EASY RIDERS...oops)

Tomorrow is Father's Day and I am making a Thanksgiving feast.   Like everyone else, I recieved a free turkey for Easter from my local supermarket and threw it in my freezer...it is now defrosted and ready to go for the morning.  I made suffing already and I have to admit it was a fabulous idea.

My goal for the summer is to lose 10 lbs per month...so I have 5 more to go for the month of June...10 lbs. July and 10 lbs August.  This may seem extreme but I am a former personal trainer and I know & recognize everything I am doing WRONG.....lol...so if I do the opposite (remember that Seinfleld show when George had turkey instead of tuna ?) I can complete my goals.

My other goal is to have a par-tay down the shore with my girls this summer - Colo, Daisy, Lookin, Belle, Polar & Taylor - down the shore at my mom's beach house...just us girls for a weekend to talk, cook, eat, drink and play Scrabble - like real Ya Ya's.

Do you think Colo will let me win ?

Just to let everyone know, I am okay.  Actually more than okay. 

The 'Annie depression' magically lifted the beginning of the month.  This after almost three years; and I have many of you to thank.

Doing a little bit of inner reflection and asking myself the hard questions about life and reevaluating what is truly important to me and for my family.

It seems lately everything inspires me.  I can't quite explain it but I want to write, draw, paint, garden and read.  I want to learn & I want to teach.  I want to get my hands dirty.  I want to use the good china (if I had some...lol).  I want to be healthy physically and spiritually.  I want to be the best I can be, espcecially the best mother.

 Tomorrow is today and living in the moment is hard work but well worth the effort and new journey I am on. 

I am also on a health kick; exercising, eating well and most of all cigarette free for 5 weeks !

And as of today, I have officially lost 20 lbs....!!  After Annie died, I gained 60 lbs.  Well 20 down, 40 to go and I will be back to my normal weight.

I am taking the prescription Chantix to quit smoking and in my opinion it is truly a miracle drug.

No cravings or irritability - it works on the dopamine in your brain, tricking it into thinking you just had a cigarette. 

You can even use it to just cut down on smoking, in other words you can smoke while on it.  The worse possible scenario I have heard from my doctor is someone cutting back to five cigarettes per day.  To me, this was a success story.

There is no nicotine in it like the patch, gum and lozenge.  Therefore no jumpiness. 

 Please speak with your doctor about trying it and if you have loved ones who smoke, spread the word.  I am telling everyone I know about this and would love to hear a success story.

My father is doing worse than yesterday.  The past few days his kidneys started working a little bit, but then his counts went up today and he needed another dialysis treatment.  Please continue to keep him in your prayers....thank you.  I cannot begin to tell you how scary this entire trauma has been to my family.  Me being the oldest, I have more responsibility than anyone.  I am very stressed over it and as a result my TMJ has become terribly painful.  But I am not complaining.  After having my father in ICU for nine days how could I possibly complain ?

This was a true test of me not smoking.  At one point racing to the emergency room an hour away, alone and not knowing what to expect, I really could have used a cigarette...but I didn't.  And I am very proud of that.

 

I have some lose ends to tie up on Blogstream like an Overheard and also a long awaited interview that you all will love.

I shall return to at least finish these.

 

Please forgive me for not keeping in touch via emails or phone calls.  With my father sick, my time has become very limited.  But I do appreciate all of your kind words, positive energy, prayers and concern.  We really have become a family here and there are several of you I truly love and care about.....(you know who you are...lol !)
